This past year Thompson Electric has been very active in participating at the Job Fairs at regional Community Colleges and Technical Schools.
This past week was the start of the job fair season for Thompson Electric again. We were at the Metropolitan Community College in Omaha for their first ever job fair. Kevin Lytle, Gary Kelly and Kent Grange were representing Thompson Electric of Omaha. We had tremendous interest in TE from the students. Some of the students were looking for internships and some are graduating this spring and looking for full-time employment. The quality of students looking for work was outstanding and Kevin will have a good selection of future electricians to choose from.
In the next month, Thompson Electric will be going to job fairs at Mitchell Technical Institute in Mitchell, SD, Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, IA, Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE and WIT Community College in Sioux City, IA. We’ve had good success in the past with these job fairs and we look forward to continuing that success this year.
For Thompson Electric to continue to grow and expand into other areas of specialties, these job fairs are critical to our success in finding young outstanding talent to be the future of Thompson Electric.
