The individual Ripple Award was presented to Dustin Pratt, employed at Avalon Capital Group. He overseas the hedge fund portfolio and is vetting new investment opportunities both public and private for his firm. Pratt has been an active member of SCGO since 2011 where he has been on several committees and heavily involved in Innovation Market as he served on the board as the Innovation Market Advisor. He has been a key asset in many SCGO events.
The business Ripple Award was awarded to Thompson Electric Company. They just recently supported young professionals as a key sponsor in SCGO’s Young Professionals of Iowa Conference held in Sioux City on September 18-19th. Thompson Electric Company is always willing to let SCGO use their facility and always encourage their employees to be involved in SCGO.

The Sioux City Growth Organization (SCGO) was formed in 2002 to encourage young professionals to become active members in the Siouxland community. The organization encourages progressive and innovative ideas and brings together voices from all generations to create a positive impact on the future of this community. SCGO’s goal is to attract and retain young professionals in the area by providing insight on what Sioux City has to offer and how they can get involved in shaping its future. The organization has approximately 100 members.
