Credit Manager is her title but this is just one of the positions that Vicki Boyok fills for TEC-Corp. Vicki has been with the company for over 28 years and that means she has many unofficial titles as well. The primary responsibility for Vicki is the Credit Manager. This position communicates with and supports TEC Corp, Thompson Electric Company, Thompson Teledata and Electric Innovations on collections of all past due accounts. Vicki does an excellent job in keeping our account receivables current. Another key responsibility is keeping track of the fleet, which includes vehicle leasing, tracking of gas usage, oil changes, maintenance and repairs of over 90 vehicles.
Vicki’s other responsibilities includes keeping track of inventory cycles at Electric Innovations, processing inventory payables and getting materials processed for pick up. Vicki also oversees the tool inventory for all of the TEC Corp business family, generates the monthly billings report for each company, tracks the cash flow for all companies, payroll for TEC-Corp, processes the union reports and makes the allocation of retirement funds for all companies on a weekly basis. Vicki also provides training for new employees on the accounting software and is currently on the committee for implementing the new accounting software. Vicki’s experience is invaluable and this allows her to fill in where ever or whenever she is needed.
For the past 10 years, Vicki has volunteered to be the lead for “Team Thompson”, for the American Diabetes Association walk. Each year she seeks sponsorships from local businesses, employees and sets a financial goal higher each year. “Team Thompson” has between 20-50 walkers each year, depending on the weather, which include families, friends and employees from all companies.
In Vicki’s 28 years with Thompson Electric she has seen a lot of changes, the accounting system has dramatically changed from using a ledger book to a computer system where you can track and retain a large amount of company data. Many changes have occurred in 28 years and most of them for the good.
Vicki is always willing to help with any issue and if you need to know anything about Thompson Electric, just ask Vicki.
