3 weeks ago we blogged about the job fair at Mitchell Technical Institute and the success we had. We are continuing to be active in the job fair market. This past week Nick Rol, Project Manager and Kent Grange, Director of Business Development represented Thompson Electric and our industry at the Northeast Community College job fair at Norfolk, NE. This was the first time that Thompson Electric had attended this job fair. The response was again very positive toward Thompson Electric, as we continue to promote the benefits of working for Thompson Electric. There are some very good students, future electricians, out there and we will continue to focus our efforts to recruit them to work for Thompson Electric.
On April 10th we will be at the Western Iowa Tech Community College job fair to continue the promotion and awareness of Thompson Electric. We have a very good relationship with WIT, as they bring their students, twice a year, to tour our facility and learn more about Thompson Electric, our industry and the prefabrication process. We look forward to hiring some of their students for summer intern or full time positions.
By being active and participating in these job fairs, we have the opportunity to hire the best and brightest to be the future of Thompson Electric.
