Renee Beaulieu (CFO) of Thompson Electric has been elected as Chair of the Board for the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce.  Renee was introduced as the incoming chair last Tuesday, at the Chamber’s annual dinner, which was attended by 1450 people.  She will serve a one year term, starting October 1.  For the three years prior to her appointment, Renee served as Treasurer of the Chamber.

As Chair, Renee will lead the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce, working very closely with Chris McGowan, President of the Chamber and the Siouxland Community Foundation.  Some of the challenges that Renee will be taking on include the shortage of labor, shortage of housing, and a “Quality of Life” initiative aimed at retaining young people in our community.  One of Renee’s first official duties will be leading the 13th Tri-State Governors’ Conference at the Dakota Dunes Country Club on October 9. Renee brings both a strong background in business and finance as well as excellent leadership skills to her new role.

Congratulations, Renee, on your new appointment! The Siouxland Chamber of Commerce has made a great choice to lead them for the next year.  We look forward to seeing your picture and reading about your accomplishments in the Journal this next year.
