This past Saturday, Thompson Electric employees participated in the annual Step Out /Walk to STOP Diabetes fundraiser at the Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve. The event was very successful and despite the light rain that fell on the walkers, a good time was had by all and we enjoyed being part of the event.
After the walk, Aaron Dauel from the American Diabetes Association presented Thompson Electric Co. with an appreciation award for being a “Gold Sponsor”. Vicki Boyok and Craig Thompson Jr. accepted the award on behalf of Thompson Electric. Thompson Electric had set a goal of $13275 to be raised for the walk and as of today we have received $13101 with a few more donations expected, we expect to achieve our goal, which is tremendous for the American Diabetes Association.
A special thank you goes to Craig Thompson Jr. and Vicki Boyok from the Sioux City office and team captains, Darryln Hamilton from the Sioux Falls office and Theresa Hall from the Omaha office for all of their hard work and planning for the event. This is the 10th year that Thompson Electric has sponsored the American Diabetes Association, Step Out / Walk to STOP Diabetes event.
